A year removed from graduation at Sonoma Valley High, Paul Pedroncelli is attempting to disprove a basic economic principle: Success in race-car driving requires cash. And lots of it.
Pedroncelli, 19, shouldn’t be hard to find as he readies for the NASCAR Camping World West Series race Saturday at Infineon Raceway. The series — a minor-league proving ground for West Coast drivers — can’t match the big boys in prestige.
